Frequently Asked Questions
Our products are completely manufactured in India. Please visit the About Us section on our website for more information about our company.
Our batteries generally do not come with a display/indicator but we can add a display that can indicate the state-of-charge (SoC) of the battery.
Our batteries can last for more than 1000 cycles for NMC chemistry and more than 2000 cycles for LFP chemistry.
Lithium-ion batteries can be used in the following applications:
- Electric vehicles
- Energy storage systems
- Solar energy storage,
- Home & Industrial UPS
For more details, please refer to instructions/manuals provided with your device before installation.
Lithium-ion batteries should not be stored at very low level or high level charged state for a long period of time. The optimal charge level during long term storage is 40-50% and ideal temperature to store the batteries for long term is as close as possible to 25°C.
This is normal because batteries can get slightly warm during charging.
Please do not charge the batteries above 45°C. Moreover, we have incorporated protection inside the battery to cut-off the charging if the temperature exceeds 45°C.
For the batteries to perform optimally with good energy output, it is advised not to charge the batteries if the ambient temperature is below 0°C degrees or above 45°C. Do not discharge when the ambient temperature is below -20°C or above 60°C
Deeply discharging the battery stresses the battery anddoing it frequently reduces the battery life and lead to bulging of the individual cells.
- Faster charging with higher efficiency and lower self-discharge.
- Smaller and lighter battery technology with high power discharge capability.
- Long cycle life, extend calendar life and maintenance-free.
Refer to instructions manual provided by the OEM charger or battery manufacturer. Standard protocols must be followed as per the guidelines of OEM in order to operate the batteries safely. Any tampering/abuse/modification to the charger and/or battery can lead to reduction of the battery life and can be potentially dangerous.
Use only lithium-ion batteries that have a designated protection such as BMS and only with an approved charger. Do not short-circuit, overcharge, crush, drop, mutilate, penetrate with foreign objects, apply reverse polarity, expose to high temperature or disassemble packs.
Battery Management System (BMS) is designed specifically to perform the following:
- Monitor the battery’s state of charge and state of health.
- Provide battery protection
- Maintain the battery’s operational state
- Improve battery life by monitoring temperature
- Report operational status to external devices
Routine checks should be conducted on the battery’s charge status as per the guidelines mentioned in the battery manual.
If you wish to have your Ecomile Lithium-ion Battery always running on, follow these simple steps –
- In case of damage or loss, always replace the charger from trusted sources.
- Avoid using any other charger with batteries than the one provided.
- Keep the battery away from direct sunlight
- Avoid charging the battery till 100%
- Avoid letting the battery discharge at a complete 0%
Along with care, there are also rules that cater to safely handling the battery –
- Avoid taking the battery out of the vehicle when fixed.
- Keep the batteries away from all sorts of water exposure. Contact your vehicle dealer if support is needed.
- In case of an accident, do not step anywhere near the battery
- If you notice a sudden drop in the range of the vehicle, immediately contact the vehicle dealer.
